Teaching Disabled Children With Play-Based Learning

Lise Fox, Mary Frances Hanline. "Assessing The Effectiveness of Developmentally Appropriate Play-Based Early Education". ERIC Education Resource Information Center, Featured Publications. 1993-00-00. Web. March 4, 2011.

This report describes how children with disablilities interact with their environment and the best way to teach them is play-based education. Most children met learning goals with this teaching method and play learning allowed educators to monitor learning progress. Children should be taught with play learning because research has proven that children learn best while interacting with their environment.

  1. Tina: Good work here-- an extremely clear, concise summary. I would have liked to see the addition of some sentences explicitly linking your source to your larger project, or perhaps putting it into conversation with your other sources. It isn't just about telling me what a source is saying, but also about drawing connection between your source and your own thinking/larger body of research!
