Reflection #1

I meant to post this on Feb. 24th Thursday but haven't had time to post it.

Last Thursday was my first day volunteering at Head Start and let me tell you it was busy.
In room with 20 kids running around, I don't where they find the energy to move around all the time
I don't know, I find myself  asking how I'm going to apply my service learning part to my research?
It can be a little intimidating, but I'm sure I'll think of something.

My research question is still in the air but I was thinking of possibly researching about how the economy is affecting early-education programs like head start. Are funds being cut from the program, etc?
I've also read articles on how head start gives kids an advantage in terms of education compared to non-head start kids. But those advantages only last till the first grade then you can't distinguish between the two. Maybe I could explore that head start isn't a necessary program to help combat poverty? I don't know

I'm going to do more research to tackle down of where I want to go with this.
